About Our Furniture and Furnishings
The Arts and Crafts Movement in America began in the later part of the nineteenth century as a rebellion against the new age of Industrialization. Furniture done in the Arts and Crafts style was simple in form, hand-made, very sturdy and durable, unlike the Victorian period pieces which were mass produced in factory assembly lines, made poorly and delicate in structure. Our fine quality reproduction Arts and Crafts furniture is created with the same design principles executed by Gustav Stickley and other artisans during the turn of the twentieth century. We can reproduce any piece of wood found in any of the catalogues of works by Gustav Stickley using traditional techniques and materials. We also offer complete customization of any of our pieces, rescaling to fit a particular setting within your home or office. |
